Skin Boosters
& Polynucleotides
Skin Boosters
Skin boosters hydrate, plump and smooth the skin. Often referred to as ‘injectable moisturiser’ Skin Boosters contain high levels of hyaluronic acid. They can reduce the appearance of fine lines and smooth the skin. They do not add the structure that dermal fillers do, but clients that don’t want to get into botox and fillers start with trying skin boosters. Skin boosters stimulate new collagen and elastin; and give a glow to the skin. The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity. The treatments are suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages. Three sessions are required to see results.

Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides are a cutting-edge regenerative treatment that works at a cellular level to heal and rejuvenate the skin. Derived from purified DNA fragments, they help stimulate the skin’s natural repair processes—boosting collagen production, improving elasticity, and enhancing hydration.
This treatment is ideal for those looking to target fine lines, uneven skin texture, dullness, or loss of firmness. Unlike temporary fillers, polynucleotides work gradually and naturally, making them perfect for clients seeking long-term improvements in skin health and radiance.
Results? Fresher, firmer, more youthful-looking skin—from the inside out.

Frequently Asked Questions
Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides before & aftercare
Ensure you book your appointment at least 2 weeks before any special events or occasions as results can take 1-2 weeks to settle and heal (swelling and bruising).
You should also avoid blood thinning medications and anti-inflammatory medicines for the 2 weeks leading up to your treatment. Also avoid alcohol, aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, and NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen and Advil in the days before your appointment. All of these can thin your blood which increases the likelihood of you experiencing swelling or bruising. Discuss with your practitioner any concerns you may have. It may not be prudent for you to stop taking certain prescription medication. Do not use Retin-A creams or products 2 days before or 2 days after treatment. If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores. Please let your practitioner know if you are prone. Do not use Skin Boosters or Polynucleotides if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any ingredients, or suffer from neurological disorders. Please inform me if you have any questions about this prior to your treatment.
Post Treatment
Exercise – Avoid exercise or strenuous activity for 24-48 hours after skin boosters to allow the ingredients to settle into your body.
Touching – Do not touch the area, you may be tempted to massage the injection site. Resist that desire and leave the area alone. Your skin needs time to recover from the treatment. You will slow down your healing process if you aggravate the injection site by rubbing or massaging the area. After 6 hours, you may gently wash the injection site with soap and water, but not before then.
Lying Down – Avoid lying down for the first few hours after treatment, and try to sleep face up for the first few days following treatment.
No Alcohol – It is important to avoid alcohol for 24-48 hours after treatment to reduce negative side effects including bruising.
Blood thinning medication – You should also avoid blood thinning medications and anti-inflammatory medicines for several days following your treatment, speak to your GP if needed.
Avoid exposure to heat and sun – After your treatment, you need to avoid being out in the heat, tanning, self-tanning beds, or heat lamps for 72 hours following your treatment. You should not expose yourself to excessive heat until all the redness and swelling has gone from the injection site. If you are exposed to sun, wear sunblock.
No Facials – Avoid facials, waxing, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion for a minimum of 10 days following your procedure. Remember that your results will begin to settle 1-2 weeks after your treatment. Give your face time to recover before undergoing other treatments.
Post treatment care – If you have any discomfort following your treatment, you may take paracetamol as needed. Applying a cool compress on the injection site can help reduce swelling too. Place the cool compress on the site for 15 minutes every hour. If you have swelling, you can prop up your head in bed with pillows to help bring the swelling down.
Ensure you follow the pre and post treatment guidance to get the most out of your treatment.
